1. Paint your front door. An eye catching front door could be just the thing your house needs to give it some flair. Don't be afraid to play with bold colours either, like red or yellow. Having a flashy front door is the perfect way to make your home appear more modern, and inviting.

2. Update your house numbers. This change is so simple, yet it will make a huge difference to the feel of the exterior design of your home. Choose a font and style that matches the rest of your house as  an easy way to draw attention to the rest of what your home has to offer. The detail won't go unnoticed!

3. Pressure wash everything. Put in a little elbow grease and make sure the outside of your house sparkles as much as the inside. You can pressure wash concrete sidewalks, wood decks, bricks, stucco, and more.

4. Add some new porch lights. If you've been keeping up with our blog, you'll already know that when trying to sell you home you should your porch lights on at night in case someone drives by for a peak. So make sure those lights are sharp looking.

5. Cut the grass. Research clever ways of cutting the grass. Choose a design that best suits your home whether it's diagonal lines or a spiral. A freshly manicured lawn is aesthetically pleasing and likely one of the first things someone will notice about the outside of your house. Plus, freshly cut grass smells amazing in the spring and summer!

6. Spruce up your garden. Fresh flowers are stunning, and they will definitely give your house that "wow" factor, especially in the summer. Chose flowers that are brightly coloured, and keep them well groomed. If you can't plant flowers, invest in some hanging baskets. They look just as beautiful, and they are very easy to maintain.

7. Show off your patio furniture. A pair of matching chairs, or a double porch swing could be just the thing your front deck needs. Patio furniture is welcoming, especially if your patio is visible from the street. Make sure you keep the furniture clean!

8. Upgrade your garage door. There's a few different ways to do this. You can create DIY carriage style doors, or use wood stain for a more rustic look. The garage door takes up a lot of visual space, so it's important to include it to your design plan.

9. Invest in a stylish door knocker. You might never end up using it, but a unique door knocker will elevate the look of your home without a doubt. A shiny new knocker can make even the plainest of doors look classy.

10. Put away any garden tools. This includes your hose, the lawnmower, and the shovels and buckets. These things can crowd your front lawn and its surroundings, and take attention away from all the things you worked so hard on to make your home beautiful. The same way you would do inside, put the toys away!

Transforming your home doesn't have to be expensive, or laborious. By making a few simple changes, you can seriously boost the value of your home, and entice buyers to step inside. We hope these tips can help you achieve the best curb appeal on your street!
